Allyson Mahmood

About Me

Being a child advocate has been a passion of Allyson Mahmood’s since college. She has a master’s degree in special education and over 10 years in-classroom special education teaching experience.

Over the past few years, Allyson has met and helped people who have children in need of special services or who are confused about how to help their child through school. She has applied her experience and knowledge of Special Education Laws and Regulations to educate families about additional services and programs available to them.

Allyson is different from many other advocates because her advantage of actually having been a special education teacher. Allyson has administered tests, modified curriculum, charted behavior contracts, written IEPs (Individualized Education Programs), collaborated with other service providers for the benefit of the child and, most important, listened to parents and heard their concerns for their child.

She believes there is no reason children should not get the appropriate public education they deserve.

Allyson’s passion for and experience in advocating has carried over to assisting others in seeking an improved life. This new direction has led her to Coach Inc., where she is currently adding to her expertise the title of Life Coach. This training will prepare her for certification by the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
